About the play: The immortal story of star crossed lovers presented in a startling and moving new production. In a German Prisoner of war camp in 1915, French Canadian and English Canadian soldiers imprisoned together for more than a year tear into a brawl. After being violentlyseparated by their guards, they lie exhausted and wounded. The fragile men of these "two houses, bothalike in dignity "alike dignity” conjure what they need most: thecompany of women. They dream up both the angel Juliet and her nurse. In this harrowing setting and with these phantoms brought to life, they act out the inevitable tragedy that comes from irrational hatred of ‘the other’.
